A Fully Distributed Dual Consensus ADMM Based on Partition for DC-OPF with Carbon Emission Trading

This paper presents a novel fully distributed alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) approach for solving the direct current optimal power flow with carbon emission trading (DC-OPF-CET) problem. Different from the other ADMM-based distributed approaches which disclosing boundary buses and branches information among adjacent subsystems, our proposed method adopts a new strategy by using ADMM to solve the dual of DC-OPF-CET, making it only needs disclosing boundary branches information among adjacent subsystems. We improve convergence speed of our method further by reducing the cou-pling constraints and employing an improved update step of multiplier. The proposed method was tested on cases ranging from 6 to 600 buses. The simulation results show that our pro-posed distributed method can solve the DC-OPF-CET efficiently and its convergence speed can be improved by reducing coupling constraints and employing new update strategy for multiplier.
